is it a choice of your own to do it, or are the company making you? As surely they cant make you pay anything, no matter when you leave, if its not something your choosing to do.

Its a good thing to have.
Remember ITIL is all commen sense stuff on how a business should operate its services. The hardest part is putting the terminology to the processes.
Tip.
Go through the mock exams. Do as many as possible. Go through the answers at the end. U'll find most of the questions in the exam will have come from some of those mock papers.
