I fucked my wheel up on a curb last weekend, and couldn't afford to get the tyre replaced so I've just been sporting a spare steelie for a few days.. then woke up today to this.

I parked it in town, and that's where it's going to stay until I can afford to waste £50 or whatever the windscreen people want.

Do I go to the police?

Yeah they must have tried legging it up and over the car.. there isn't any footprints on the roof so I'm guessing they fell off.

What can the police do though in all honesty?

definately go to the police but they'll do nothing unfortunately and you will still be out of pocket with getting the windscreen replaced.

I'm not covered on insurance..

It's so high because it's out of hours, apparently you should only get your windscreen smashed between the hours of 9 and 5 on a Monday to Friday.

I can buy a new car for that much.

Get inside the car and kick it out and drive home at 30mph, get it sorted in the week

Chance of getting pulled on the way home is slim unless you live miles away.

Police wont do fuck all take last night for a example..

Me mates dad rang him and said some little shits just run over the top of my car and run off.. so we all went to look for them couldnt find them, drove around for a bit.. then the police started following us.. they followed us into a street with a dead end where my mate is..
then we stopped at his house police got out and started being gobby, and saying whos the drivers you got a headlight out.. thats why we went back to his house to fix.. then his dad came out like whats the problem..

The police man was like uhhh just need to talk to the drivers.. then his dad was like instead of wasting time harrasing these lads do something about my car and showed them the foot prints.. but said there isnt much we can do about it and drove off.

They've got nothing better to do!

Shouldn't be an issue anyway, don't need a windscreen for the MOT.

Isn't it something that you have to have if the car was designed to have one?

Though i doubt it'll be an issue if you explain what happened to anyone who decides to challenge you about it.
