the point of seatbelts or harnesses is they lock or hold you in tight, when you crash them subs are gonna break up and there will be slack in the harnesses meaning to fly forward then suddenly stop, youd probably break your neck

i don't see the problem with the belts mounted there most probably the strongest point for them
