My m8s corsa 1.6 gsi is recently started playing up

The car starts fine and runs like a dream under 3k revs BUT as soon as you out hit 3k revs that wen it becomes a diffrent story. It starts judering like mad and sounds like its miss fireing or trying to back fire

I had sumone put the car on a vauxhall computer but he siad it dose not show any faults...so started to try diff parts that we thought colud be wrong with it

have replaced the leads ,the plugs and even tryed a diffrent coil pack on it

I have now been informd it may be caused by the airflow metor but cant get a hold of one anywere....Also sumone informd me it can be caused by the cat from the exauts

Has anyone ever came across this or got a clue what can be the problem

same happened on my mates gsi is it a c16xe?

going with what i read on to top buzz its a c16se?

if its got an air flow meter its a c16xe. does it have a black plastic inlet manifold or a metal one?

Its in safe mode thats why it wont go above 3k

all i can suggest is disconect the battery for 20 minuits and see if it kicks it out of safe mode.

if its playing up at a certen RPM try testing the Crank postition sensor, might be sending scrambeled messages after 3k
