we did



part way through the job picture taken, fitted a polished throttle body, and modified a few bits to move the airfilter to the front right hand side (a smaller filter will be fitter btw!!! )


just looks stupid if you as me

the corsa was black if that's any help, think it's a friend of dave a's. car had FEF on no. plate if i remember rightly

and that black corsa - had just a throttle body with nothing, no filter, no intake pipe, nothing

remember that ages ago, thats what sort of gave me the idea


and it actually works!! but did fit a polished throttle body at the same time though

car used to go flat at 6,000rpm, now pulls higher up the revs!

just a quick question. astra g's have the x14xe lump in them without the ghey inlet system. would swapping to that inlet give a power gain???

there was someone up here who had a nova and put his filter where the battery should be and had an air feed going though to it - i dont think he cut away the bulkhead but drilled a hole though it for heatshielding.
did a bit of engineering to stop rainwater coming through the scuttle panel onto it too. looked swish!

i asked brooster if i could fit the astra 1 and he rightly pionted out that the astra has less power so you probably wont gain anything

ah that would make sense then. just thought that it might have helped considering the astra manifold is nothinh like the mess that my tigra has.

yeah it had crossed my mind 2 wouldnt be hard just to try i dont suppose, just get a scrapyard 1 and stick it on, go on you could start something big but if its rubbish ill not do it
