Looking through my car documents folder at home to prove to the cops I have insurance again, and I found the VRF I got a few months back for a brake light being out. I got another VRF the other day due to my exhuast being a little broken before the center box whilst on my way to get some weld wire to fix it . Anyway the copper that pulled me up said I was to send the VRF off in the post, whereas the first time I was just told to hand it into my local cop station.

So am I meant to still have the first VRF or not?

Any help appreciated.

you are ment to hand the vrf into the police station once you have it stamped by a garage to say the vehicle has been rectified.

if they dont receive the stamped vrf withing the time they allow then they send a court summonds

Kind of the same story, was my first time getting pulled and he knew that because he asked me but he didn't actually explain to me what I had to do. All he said was I had to hand them in within 14 days but as it happends its 7 days for the producer (which resulted in me getting reported for handing that in late because of it but nothing came of it) and 14 days for the pink vrf. I handed it into the cop station with my producer and he gave it me back and I didn't think anything of it . Untill recently when I got reported for a defective silencer and this copper told me I was to send it off in the post and I got worried but no damn mot station will stamp my vrf because they are all old farts that don't like loudish exhuasts
