Front panel is back on with the Rad etc, needs to run power cable to the starter motor, a few other little bits wack a battery on and then see how it goes.

Pretty nervous as to whether the engine is going to run or not so I've got all of my bits and bobs crossed!!

what ecu are you using ? the one with the engine, it wont run unless you have had the dash cluster/immbo control unit recoded, along with the keys

Willay sent me back, so you used the ECU that was in the golf, and not the one from the leon etc ?

are they the same engine code ?, you may need to reset a few basic settings on it, but even i can do that on my laptop if needs be

Using the ECU that came with the CAR and the key that came with the CAR is the best idea as long as they are exactly the same engine

So are you putting the Golf back to the way it should be standard or are you going to be tuning the 1.8 lump???

James - Yeah I made sure i sourced an AUQ engine as that was the only one that came in the Anni's. I'll be coming to dartford tonight if its ready

Pow - Thats what I'm doing mate

Scotty - Getting it running and then back to standard, already got splitter just need wheels and a wing mirror. Then I'll be tuning it later on in the year when funds allow Hoping for around 300Bhp this time next year

ITS ALIVE YO!!!!!!!

Getting oil changed, and need pas fluid, antifreeze and brake fluid.

Have a few warning lights on, airbag and a triangle with a circle around it but hopefully JR can sort me out
