Depends on the light I reckon cos my old corsa was polar sea blue in 2002 and on a really sunny day it used to have a tiny purple shimmer, but on a dull day it could look really black/dark dark blue:

Yeah they're are kind of similar in hue and when they catch the light I suppose- the aurora purple one (despite being listed as blue on the logbook) is generally more purpley though
