Doing a project at Uni where we basically need to style an oil bottle on an automotive brand. I've been racking my brain about a brand I like but I don't want to just go for Lamborghini or Ferrari, I'd prefer something a little more quirky and it really has to be recent, so no old school stuff unless it's still in production.
Any ideas? Specific car companies whose style you like?

I designed this boat around an Ariel Atom; same principle we had to focus the design around a car.

Go for a large company like Ford or VW who have a range of vehicles. You could do a really good project on it because you'll notice that a lot of cars manufacturers are making cars that look reletively similar, but have different body styles to them. If you could incorperate the companys current image/design theme then you could come up with something fairly decent.

Lee, we'd looked at the Atom as well - but we're not sure because it's styling is mainly drawn from the function and this is an oil bottle One to keep in mind though, did you find much about it's styling when you did your work?

So for this project, you have to design an oil bottle based on a automotive brand...
e.g Ferrari, lambo, buggatti = sleek, aesthetically pleasing etc.?
Am i getting the right end of the stick here mate?

Yes Jeremiah, take styling cues used in the car and apply it to an oil bottle.

So why not go for bugatti? based on the veyron, this allows the bottles dimensions/angles to be wild.

Because everyone else in his class will be doing the same thing and it will be boring for the audience to watch his presentation, which will in turn piss a lot of people off.
(Can you guess what i'm doing at uni )

ed's nailed it on the head.
Morgan is an interesting one.
ed I mentioned what you said to my lecturer but he just fobbed it off and said no it has to be a more distinctive supercar brand. Didn't want to hear about how as you said they are all using similar styling cues and we could show that....
nvm, bunch of jockeys
