so i finished work at 1ish went down to the local scrappy searched out the bits i wanted, went to get some tools, and the bloke working there says '' you can only take parts from the scrap engines and not the good 1s'' so i bassically wasnt allowed to take bits from a scrap car???? wtf

a workng engine would be better off sold as a whole instead of random parts slowly disappearing over years

fair point but how many c14nz engines are in a scrap yard surly me taking a throttlebody and cam wouldnt hurt

an engine without a cam is pretty useless lol but how many people swap out 1.4s i suppose

i had the same problem today lol. wanted a cam sensor of a smashed up tigra. but wouldnt let it go because its a good engine. the least they can do is put a sign on it or something.

Same mate. Been to the scrappy today, walked out with just a gear knob and even that doesnt fit. Wasted trip!

Round my way they just grunt at you if you take something off your not meant to, like you should be able to mind read.

never had a problem with this but i think the places round by me take the good bits off first and they have an engine lock up for the good engines
