i think a 1600 is something special now! XE's are like whores on a dutch street corner now. I would stick wit the x16 mark...get it performing a bit better and you're sorted

all sorted. was back on the road last night at 8pm. 11 hours it took us to do it. not bad.

my brother had a spare head that had already been skimmed and fully rebuilt, i just had to put my cams in it. new headgasket and full cambelt kit. also a new oil filter and oil and spark plugs also fitted a new headerbottle and water pipe as mine was leaking.

so its had a full service aswell
got of a oil leak but that will be sorted tomoz hopefully when i buy another rocker cover gasket set.

wil put some pics up soon

cheers guys. got another little problem though

it wont idle properly, sounds like its got massive cams in it, lol. and eml is on. the only problem i can see is that the rocker cover gasket is leaking and has sprayed oil onto the ht leads and lamba sensor plug, so will sort that out tonight and hopefully job done

Sounds like an air leak... Check all the wee piddly vacuum hoses they have.
