Is it really worth it seeing as the tyres are what keep you on the road?

well from what i've read, if you keep under the specified speed rating of them and weight load you won't have a problem.

Personally, I'd go for something decent. Isn't worth the risk.

my girlfriend only buys cheap tyres (although the cheapest at £42 each i dont think is cheap) because of the roads she drives on. I live down a chav- and foreign-infested hole, she lives down a 'bad' road and her car park for work is behind the local night club, where she has to drive over broken glass 5 days of the week. 2 nails in tyres that arent repairable in the last 4 weeks, so no point spending decent money on tyres

edit - where can u get remoulds from? might as well look into it if we are going to be going through 10 tyres a year

Place near me did my mate some new Goodyear tyres for £15 each fitted and balanced.

I refuse to go there as they fucked up all 4 of my VTR wheels years ago

There's no point in me getting remoulds. I only get 15k out of decent tyres and do well over those miles per year.

My Dad used to get remoulds when he run bangers into the ground. This was years and years ago when my sisters and I were just kids. He used to get bubbles appearing in them.
