Blimey. That's not exactly a flattering picture of him on that skysports news link is it either - look at those gigantimus crows legs around his eyes To be honest I'm not surprised, especially after Gary Speed stepping down last week as coach as well.

Was never cut out for it from day 1 unfortunately, the consistent 'i'm proud of the effort and application even though we got beat again today' became monotonous and made him sound like a defeated man.

paul jewell i fancied for the bolton job but i have heard he has got a 6 month stipulation from wigan before he can manage another club, so it looks to be 2 months early

im glad its happened, it is about time, i have 100quid on derby to finish bottom at 2/1 and bolton looked like contenders to be bottom

they'll probably just put someone incharge for 2 months and then come Jan put Jewell in there. That or pay off Wigan for these two months.

Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone head hunted John Collins for the QPR job last month so his stock must be high in those kind of circles, could be worth a punt. Although looking at those odds Mr Ladbrokes knows something we don't

Houllier could be worth a punt too, likes it up around here and has said he would like to manage in the Prem again.

Jewell is obvious fav though.
