Im sure this will cause some arguments but here it goes
Firstly how much is the legal limit in reference to cans and pints ?
Secondly how much would you drink and feel comfortable to then drive ?
And finally, what should the law be ?
This is all because a good friend of mine got pulled over after having 2 small cans of fosters and blew a positive and has kinda made me think

I can drink 2 pints, but I havn't done so in years. It all depends on the individuals height and weight really. 2 pints is about the limit.

2 cans of fosters would put him over the limit. 1 pint of fosters should see you under the limit. However i think its stella, that will send you over the limit if you have 1 pint.

dont drink at all, simple. Anyone that gets caught doing so gets what they deserve and if we're lucky enough they will crash an kill themselves. Same goes to anyone with regards to drugs.

It's about 3.5-4 units, although it depends on your size. 1 pint of lager has 2.3 units or so in.
I wouldn't feel comfortable driving after drinking more than about half a lager TBH, it's just not worth the risk.
The law should be 1 unit, it can't be 0 as stuff like cough medicine has it in so it'd be a nightmare to police it

But the limit is different for everyone.
I could drink 2 pints of lager and be over the limit but someone else could drink 4 and be safe.
When i was talking to a police woman about this subject she said that 1 pint and she'll be over the limit. But after 5 JD's she'll not be over the "limit".
The best way though is to have nothing at all.

if you crashed into someone and hurt them, would you reckon you feel even more guilty because you had that 'one' drink?!

For an example. Thats what she gave me. She can handle different drinks differently.

Sorry to say,
But there has to be more to it than that, two cans of fosters in three hours doesn't put you over the limit IMO
