I am just in the middle of sending out a few letters to estate agencys as I am fed up of my current job.
Dear Sir
Having now spent XX years working in my current position, I feel ready to move on with my career and would be interested to learn if you have any vacancies within the field I would like to work in, which is
For your information I enclose a copy of my c.v, and would be available to attend an interview at any time convenient to you.
I hope the enclosed is of interest, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely
I found this letter which I will be using.. Is there anything i'm missing when I approach companies with a letter regarding a new job etc?
Cheers, Phil

you haven't mentioned how big your penis is in that letter, that always helps, especially when its a woman reading it, perhaps a photo of your face too?
but seriously, for me that seems enough as your CV is the part that'll show you off etc

that bit makes the whole thing sound a bit desperate. make them feel that they should WANT you working there and that you will be a big asset to their business, but without sounding arrogant

agreed, that bit makes you sound unemployed if you are available anytime for an interview
