Quick question...
Where do they get the cars from? Does the company buy them in or are they themselves rented???
Just wondering how these companys work as averaging 100k per car that would be some overhead...

They charge a shitload for the actual rent, then will usually deliver the car and pick it up from you at the end, so charge for that too.
Take a look at http://www.astonhire.co.uk for prices.

Yes but you always have a fairly hefty resale value
As long as the rentals make their money back on the depreciation there a safe investment

They usually operate on a club basis, you pay membership, they buy cars which don't depreciate by half thier value in a year. The business is onto a winner really, untill you rent out a Veyron to some stupid indian who drives it into a solid object and writes it off.

also they usually charge you for extra miles you do in the car outside the agreement.
Like ed said, most of them have a membership fee you pay that gives you x amount of credits that you can redeem on the cars etc.
