Haven't read the whole article but:
"Vettel said at the time that he had hit Webber while distracted by Hamilton slowing unexpectedly."

Are they not supposed to be F1 drivers, surely they can react to people slowing unexpectedly, they are the best drivers in the world are they not?

its simply a case of blame it on the threat to hold him back

you're always at fault if you hit the back of someone!

To be fair, he was accelerating, and then braking heavily when he was behind the safety car, making everyone bunch up.
Which could explain that crash.

But hes allowed to do that...

My take....

ITs a tough call.

Hamilton can say he was trying to keep his brakes warm in such awful conditions. No heat in brakes = an even more dangerous car in that weather.

He may get done for not staying within 5 lengths of the pace car...

Webber etc moaning about in-consistancy of driving, possible..... But then you don't have to sit 1 behined the other in a dead straight line, move out of the way. Your not allowed to overtake, but if you overshoot someone because they are warming up the brakes, and then drop behined again, you wouldn't be penalised....

I think Hamilton shouldn't have really been driving so extremly, but then the other drivers should have been paying more attention and not sat up his backside....

Potato Potarrrto. A racing incident IMO. Webber should be experienced enough to stay well back, or to the side... Same way Webbers team-mate should have been doing the same. Lewis is on the far right hand side of the track, Webber on the far left.... Theres a HUGE gap in the middle.....

I'd say Lewis "could" get in troulbe though seeing how F1 seems to hate McLaren this year

Hamilton was pethetic behind the safetly car. He was riving dangerously, one point he nearly went passed it.

Loved Mark Webbers comment that went out live talking about Vettel, " he is unexperienced and then fucks it all up" class.

Driving dangerously???? Or simply trying to keep heat the the tyres and brakes whilst doign 50mph on a cold wet circuit....

Remember, cold tyres, especially in the wet, simply don't work. Same with the carbon brakes they have. Need to stay in x temperature zone to carry on working.

I wouldn't want to get to the end of a 1km straight, 185mph, and find my tyres were too cold, and my brakes didn't work..... Hamilton made that mistake at Nurbergring remember!!!!!!

I was watching the race live and I was screaming at the tv at how vettel and webber were driving behind hamilton.... they are notified when the safety car is going in so I dont see why they insisted on driving right up his arse or along side him.... raikonen and alonso were doing it to him as well.

They were obviously tring to impose them selves on him and they deserved everything they got.

In those conditions anything can happen even under a safety car so I dont see why they were so close to him.

No way they are going to make any punishment stick

Go and watch some f1 live and you will realise why they are the only people on earth who can race in these cars.
