Right, so I was driving to a friends house doing around 30, being paranoid about speed camera's i dropped down to around 28, and quite far past the camera it flashes twice. there was a car on the other side of the road but im not sure if he had already past before it flashed.

How do they know which party was speeding? is it based on the distance of the calibration marks on the road?

yes mate, its the marks on the road and the distance your car travailed in the amount of time on the marks. Normally if a car is going the other way the camera flashes once if im correct, but unsure someone else might know more. But if you weren't speeding you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I was definitely under the limit which resulted in me and my mate shouting "what the f%#k"

I'm just being paranoid.

Just the prospect, as a student even more so is that I will have to pay £60 and get points for no reason what so ever.
