been 7 months with current employer, made a massive impression for myself and our unit....
after 6 months its probation period neway so they review higher pay
What can I say to my boss 2morrow to maybe up the payment a bit?!

How you've made the company more effiencient
How cost of living has gone up
Research other jobs and find pay packages, if they are higher then yours then present them to your boss and be like "yoyoyoy I want this much yo"

im a firm believer that if you work hard hard enough you should find it easy to get a rise, or maybe im just lucky with my current employer, but im now on 20k more than when i first joined 4 years ago.
But as you said, I like to think ive made a big difference to the company, improved a number of things, implimented systems, paperwork, increased efficiency etc

In order to qualify for a pay rise you need to "add valve" you need to be "worth" something to the company.
If this is so - then explain your reasons as to why.
Never hurts also to add where you are going with other projects and what your trying to achieve.
