i know what i need paint wise but what grades of papaer do i need to atack and rub down the scuffs on the edge and what grade to used for preping the whole wheel and flattenin back the primer

Id start with 80's then 120 then 320's wet and then if your feeling adventurous 400's wet

JUst in the order ive said and then once primed 400's wet

so 80 to rub down all the scuffs then use the less harsh paper to get it smoother, 120 to take the shiny finish off the paint before sprayin?

Yea and then the wet 320 to get it nice and smooth

And best to take it back to metal or theres more chance of the paint reacting when sprayed

I used a drill with a 3m attacthment on to get it down to bare metal but obviously not chunks out of it, then i used 600,800 and 1200 wet and dry mostly.
after priming a bit more 1200 but wet to get it super smooth.

Halfords offer a sanding pack, this will have all the grades you need, its about £4.99 and i got through about 2 packs...

or you could go to halfords and get a pack of 80's 120's 320's at £1.99 a go (containing 4 sheets each)and having more paper and save yourself £4

No point when you don't need that many sheets, £4 isn't going to be the end of the world

why is there no point?? this way means im £4 better off and i have spare sheets for other bits and bobs

I used 240, 400, 1000 & 1200.
