Removed the glove box on my girlfriends new car the other day and this fell out!
It wasn't secured in, was just tucked above where the glove box goes.
The writing on it says: 'CODE HOPPING RADIO REMOTE CONTROL UNIT'
Theres an in-line fuse on the loom, and a few connectors. There are a few wires taped together that go around the back of the heaters and down towards the fuse box area.
Is it something to do with an alarm or the stereo? haven't a clue, doesn't seem to have an alarm, cant see a sounder under the bonnet and the car just opens off the key in the lock - no remote fob or anything.
Car is an S reg, 1.6 16v Sport
Any help would be good, sorry about the crap pic quality, was taken on my phone.
Cheers
Ash

It probably is a reciever for a remote control to unlock/lock the car, "code hopping" means its more secure.
