I've done it, didn't like it... sitting in a room all day with a bunch of strangers mainly. However I went on 3 cases and it's quite interesting in the court room.

I'm quite a shy lad so didn't really mix with anyone whilst in the waiting room, and you can be sitting there all day some days... nightmare.

done it when i was 18. was only there 2 days then the case got thrown out. knew that was gonna happen within the first 10 mins from what the witnesses were like.

i was young, and there was no one else below 50, so didnt really mix, but there is some waiting about, yes.

would do it again, would hope it was a better case though.

I got the letter, sent it away and within 2 weeks i was called up...and chosen for the jury..

It was a horrible case tbh..video footage of a beating a guy got, rather sickly...

then it got thrown out. just like that.

You can get a letter from your boss and hope it washes with them i left it too late though and had to go to it

Luckily i only really had to wait about on the first day, rest we just turned up and got told to go home.

Letters from bosses won't be any use, very very rarely do judges let you off for work reasons.

As Craig said, no chance of getting out of it unless you can prove you have a holiday booked for the same time etc.
