rob lee had them on a c16xe gav which would be the same as the x16xe after your remove the inlet manifold etc

if you had same spec as the nova then it would be 130bhp (see last months TV)

What sort of gains did you see dave?

I know they arn't a full on set up but they seem to be a good middle road between preformance inlets and a full on tb setup

I have the steinmetz throttle bodies which are similar to the dbilas ones.
I've seen 152ps with unichip, reprofiled cams, cam pulleys and 10.9:1 compression ratio

I do a conversion to change them to 'proper' tb's with jenvey fuel rail and trumpets.

on a standard corsa expect 130 bhp and after a remap, cams and verniers 140-150 is realistic figure

There will worth it, if you remove the common plenum box, and fit mappable management.

Good gains wont be seen on a standard engine, due to the low rev limit.

The plan is to fit them along with some arp bolt and sbd rollers and get it mapped with a high rev limit...............

Sounds like a good idea Gav, just make sure you use a reputable tuner for the mapping.

Probably see 140ish
Over 150 needs different cams, pocketed pistons etc.

Chuck some 264's in and you'll be laughing. No need for pocketed pistons etc then

I brought the gsi with the intention of always keeping the 1.6

would have brought a pre built xe otherwise

Will 264's not affect day to day driving though?

I ran them on my 1.4 16v quite noticeable after 5k.

Be a shame not to do the cams as your going to the trouble and expense of rollers etc etc.

Plus if mapped correctly the cams should be no issue regarind running iddling etc.

whats the cost of a set of 264's roughly?

Im hoping to aquire a set of the dbilas tb's for between £400-£500

Ive got the piston rings and other bits already

Then £150 ish for some rollers and arp's

and then money for warren

You can either send your existing cams off for a regrind or buy a full set for the £200 mark.

whilst your there why not get some uprated valve springs and titanium caps
