is it similar to the previous album? only ever liked a couple of their songs but i might "purchase" this if its a bit different.

wasnt a fan of first album cept wires/half light.
sound is different on this as far as i can tell as i never really listened to the 1st album

Wires was'nt on their first album. First album is called Vehicles and Animals, which is a superb album imo. Everything after that has been poop.

I've been an Athlete fan since day 1, before they released Vehicles & Animals. Got to say, the new album is terrible. Sounds flat, none of the usual quirky-ness, a dire dire album. They produced it too, was such a dissappointment.
