Dad had a letter through the door this morning saying that he had won 615,810 Euro's in a lottery!



All he has to do is send back the form with all his bank details, adress and all his details. Yeah ok then Its adressed from Spain and has telephone numbers and adress's to send it all back.

I thought all this scamming shit only happened on the net. How the hell did they get our address? Anyone else had this before?

As I told Jules....the Spanish tourist board were actually doing a lottery for all tourists who entered the country this year with prizes given away every few months. There were posters all over the airport and leaflets being given out, etc. all about it.

They were taking info from passports as you entered and that automatically entered you in the lottery. Its real.

Hmmm, well even if it is real then he's still not going to give them he's bank details

Not worth risking unless he was to open a new account with just a pound in it just to see what happens.

its true, Im amazed he didnt see all the adverts around the airport. Were loads of people handing leaflets and everything out by the passport bit.

letters were the original scamming artist's tool. my boss was telling me just the other day he received a letter from a doctor in Pakistan telling him he could get him millions of pounds and he would share it with him etc. hand written letter and everything. at least back then they had some fucking conviction, they made some effort to get your money out of you

well they arent going to pick everyone!!

Think it was 2 a month or something 9aould be about right by now), didnt keep the leaflet so cant remember.
