Looking for a cheap corsa for work as my T reg one is showing its age and I bought a nice 53 plate one for my mam to run about in last year and love it
my dads mate has a Y reg one for sale, but its the 1.8 SRi version. I wanted a 1.0 or 1.2 as I do 18k a year in it for work
I get about 105 miles to £10 in the T reg one and my mam gets about 115 miles to £10 in her 1.0. What would a 1.8 do? I drive in 50mph traffic mainly on way to work and back. Not fussed about speed as the BMW does that for me, just need a cheap(ish) car for work
Also, what did the SRi have that a cheap model did not on a Y reg (2001)
Thanks

engine (obviously) larger dia front brakes and rear discs.
for what your using it for, would the 1.4sri or even the 1,2 sxi not be a better buy?

I get 30 average in the BMW so not much better, reckon an extra 15-20 quid a month to run
I get a claimed 44mpg in the 1.2 T reg one at the mo

TBH from what i've found, MPG is purely dependant on where your driving and how you drive. For that kinda money i'd be tempted to try it for a month and see what MPG you get out of it .

Do it - bargain for the money really, done many miles? (not that it really matters as the engine was designed for the vectra/astra so should easily be capable of an easy 150k+).
