Hammond has since taken part in another high-speed stunt for the BBC show, driving a Bugatti Veyron as it raced a Typhoon fighter jet at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire.
Bet thats quality and to see. I can't wait for top gear

No idea who passed me the phone but the girl said she was at Silverstone, then said "Hammond just came off"

There was a lot of fuss over nothing with that crash, he wasny even injured and went back out again afterwards. The only reason there was so mach publicity was cos of his first crash.
Cant wait for Top Gear, but I normally miss it anyway

I didnt think he even hit the barrier, thought I read in Clarksons Column that someone else bumped him on the track and he then drove it back to the pits where it was quickly fixed and was back out on the track.
