The guy at Vauxhall said that if this is pierced in any way (it is, lots) then it could be the cause of my water dripping on the speaker, becuase it's not creating a vaccum...

Is this true? :S

yea possibly i had to rip mine open to get to my dropped window and the window tinter who got i tback in for me said it might be worth getting a new sheeting or at least sellotaping it up cos it provides a good amount of protection

try the sellotape option to see it it works, cost effective and will show if its working cos if water is getting on it it will come unstuck

Did you find out where the leak is defo coming from? The window seal at the bottom? The plastic sheet may have something to do with it, I dont know though.

There is a tiny gap between the window seal and the mirror section. Here's a picture (it's burry as hell but anyway)



Is this a dodgy seal?

I know this isnt the weather proofing sheet, ill patch that up with tape tommorow, do a bodge job on it but opinions on the seal at the job would be VERY welcome!
