oh right, you even had any issues with stopping in time etc...

seems a bit shit that a 100bhp car that will do 115mph+ dosnt have ABS as standard.

no prblems from me unless you really stamp on the buggers when its wet! but can easily stop quickly

Apparently the vaux abs on the corsa is really shite anyway. I've got 2.0 calipers on the front and ive never had any issues being able to stop quickly.

Girlfriends 1.2 punto has abs though and that has a top speed of 96

Ah right cool, my GSi had ABS, stopped pretty well, i suppose its only in the wet/ice that you really need it.

Its just the Mrs is buying a sport at the weekend and it hasnt got ABS, was just a bit concerned for her safety as she dosnt drive slow!

Would probably look at fitting the 2.0 setup when the brakes need doing as its not expensive or hard to do.

I've never seen a Sport with ABS so I presume they don't come with it? I might be wrong though?

Not, but if i slam on in the wet i dont skid?? Tyres arnt great either.
Mates Gsi is the same, but other mates 1.6 sport skids, with same tyres, and brake set up.

You dont have the abs stuff under your bonnet alex, so dont think you have it

Thats what my GSi had, says on Parkers.co.uk ABS was a £300 optional extra from 1999-2000

But........That's an old shape Sport. i.e Pre 97' I meant to say i've never seen a Post 97' Sport with it.

I've seen loads of GSi's with it but thats it?
