Thinking of gong to Thailand next year
Basically we're planning on going to the Singapore Grand Prix in September, and planning on staying there for 5 nights or so and the rest in Thailand.
Has anyone been there?
Where would be the best place to stay?
Would it be better to book a 2 week holiday and just take 4-5 days out of that to go to singapore?

I don't know....
I'm thinking that if we just booked flights and accommodation seperately then maybe bangkok for a few nights, then onto singapore and then fly to phucket for a week on the beach
What's the weather like that time of year?
We were in Singapore in Oct last year, but there was the big haze so very little sun

hmmmm september isnt the best for weather in most of thailand due to the monsoon season which finishes within the next few months, so its kind of hit and miss, somedays is nice and sunny with a few clouds then others torrential rain and full on cloud cover, but its always warm no matter what. Its also not so busy as the busy season begins end of november through to feb time.

Was in the far east couple of months ago. Started in Bangkok, amazing place, we were there for 4 days, and that was plenty, didnt get the chance to go to phuket or any of the southern part.
can thoroughly reccomend bangkok though, we stayed in the landmark, was amazing, stayed in business suite, they literally treat you like royalty.....

I quite fancy vietnam as well, but it seems a bit more pricey than thailand, and with the grand prix and everything I think it's going to be an expensive hol as it is
