my car has has no tax or mot
i know im allowed to drive it to the mot station without an mot but what about tax?
and if it fails am i allowed to drive it back home

dont know about the tax situation but if ur car fails the mot u must drive it straight home

if it fails you should get 10 or 14 days to complete the work required, take it back and then its only tested on the things that failed. some places the retests are free. if you go over the 10 or 14 day period its a full retest at full price. the car needs to be taxed to be on the road.

as long as you have pre booked your MOT you dont need tax or MOT to drive it there.
pretty sure you need insurance though.

yes as long as you go straight to the MOT station and your car is prebooked to be there you are fine. If the MOT place doesnt take booking, ring them up just before you leave and let them know you are coming down (give car reg etc) you cant Tax your vehicle without a valid mot certificate so if you get stopped they wont do anything
