Searching in the line of trainee marketing manager, but all the positions on all the websites i've tried are "Marketing managers, managers and merchendising managers". Surely there must be a website for younger people?

I've been studying business marketing / management and general business studies for the last 3 years. Just want to start working now, and earning! Don't really want to do more and more eduction, to get a job you could work up to? Not sure if that makes sense.

One of my mates has just finished uni, pretty much doing the same as what im doing now, and he's struggling to find a job! I would rather get a job now, and work up to a higher position, gain experience than carry on with eduction.

You'll probably think.. "thats not the attitude" but I just want to start earning now

I think its a good attitude, I'm earning more then graduates now and may do some sort of degree later on in life. Any other education in the short term will be something that will benefit me directly in my job, like a Cisco cert or something.

higher education isn't always needed imo. I was kicked out of sixth form at the end of my first year of doing a-levels. Worried at first as i thought i needed a-levels to get a decent job. Always look in the job paper, thats where i found my current job. A lot of firms are always looking for young people so they can train them up and get them qualified, which is what they are doing with me

Uni is a waste of time other than to have a load of fun pissing about.

If your prepared to start a little lower down the ladder initially then by the time you would of finished Uni you'd be where you'd only start as a graduate (or further up) and have earned money and experience for those 3 or 4 years.

If I were you I'd write up a good CV and covering letter and send it out to a few companies you want to work for, even if they arent advertising for jobs, aswell as trawling the net for others that are after people.

Also...check the actual companies websites, as sometimes they advertise jobs on there that you may miss or they arent listed at employment websites.

im currantly looking for a job i look on the net (jobcentre) and (jobstoday) and paper.

i have sent out about 40 c.vs around a 30mile radius off where i live and ive only had 1 reply back and that was bad news.

sometimes i feel like giving up but gotta keep looking.

uni is good and sometimes essential for specified jobs i.e doctor, lawyer, pychology, arcitexture ect, obviously its not always the only way to get into high paying jobs but some cases its the best option.

when people do media and history degree's i really dont see the point.

Then you should have done a degree that is in something useful then really, where you don't have 1100000000000 other people doing the same thing.
