how greatly does your car varie when driving round town/ A roads, to on the motorway/duals?
Threads on consumption i know have been done, but id like to see if any others vary a lot like my own

I found that the XE on the motorway does 35/40 mpg easy peasy.
Yet round town, and on A roads etc is only gets 20 - 25! Costing like 20/30 quid a week to go to work four days a week.
So far its costed me 20 quid over four days to travel a max of 90 miles. Just shocked it changes so much.

Round town I can get about 350-380 from a full tank (about £42)
Motorway about 400-430 to a tank

That's from a 1.2 16v by the way.

20/30 quid a week to travel to work?

Pfft, try about £60 for me.

And I don't even have the pleasure of having a 2.0l to make up for that

get around 25-30mpg in the fiesta all round driving.

have been known to get 22 mpg though bit of heavy right foot driving tbh.

can easily get 40mpg sitting at a steady 70mph in 5th on motorway but it just doesn't like sitting in traffic or stopping and starting...

£25 got me 200 miles around town over the last few days.

£40 got me 400 miles motorway going to and from Trax.

That was using the budget BP fuel. I've got a 1.4 16v Corsa C.

Last week ive had £110 in the car, and got just over 820miles.

x14xe with mods.

Not too bad i dont think, around 550-600 miles was motorway miles.

I'd love to 2l my car, but doing minimum of 80 miles to work and back, 5 days a week, doesn't seem the right option

42 MPG from my day to day driving to work and back. Mix of town, dual carriageways and B roads.

On a long run like when I went to Scarborough the other week got almost 50MPG
