The Rocket at American Adventure was good, was years ago so don't know what its like now.

thorpe park is just behind alton towers imo, but still got some great rides - when they are actually open

I went to alton towers yesturday aswell was a good day rita was having its normal 'technical issues' in the afternoon did manage to go on it twice though its very good.
Planning on going to drayton Manor sometime over next few weeks.

I had some brilliant days at American Adventure growing up. The Missle was amazing in its day and the Skycoaster is one of the best rides I've been on anywhere!

Thorpe Park
Everything else........ They are the only 2 proper theme parks.

Thorpe Park is darn expensive though 
Alton Towers is good, deffo front seats on Rita makes your eyes water for sure

Alton Towers is only slightly better than Thorpe Park, it's well worth a visit.
