I don't usually rant on the internet but this is deserved. At some point this morning some filthy pikey broke in2 my car and has stolen all my speakers and the amp (thats over 500quids worth of gear).
To add to that i now have fix a dent in the door where they prised the door open, replace the speakers and fix the bloody courtesy light. And i've only had the car back a week after getting the bonnet fixed.
And i've only just got a years no claims so i'm not gonna bother goin through there so i have to replace it all outta my own pocket.  Just wish these bloody idiots would grow up and deal with the fact that people work hard for this sorta thing, even if they won't.

Oh you know what i mean when i say 'pikeys'. And it doesn't refer to travellers.
Oh and brett, i wasn't intending on keeping the car much longer and there's nothing on show, its all quite well hidden. Hence the lack of alarm.

Hidden makes no difference if you drive around said car with the stereo/subs cranked up.

Maybe they watch you and find out what things you have in your car.

happened to me mate. people near me must have realised had sound system and one night they came and bent my door took cd player and sub while dmaging my wing mirror. luckily they didnt take either of my 2 amps. but thought theyd come back so fitted an alarm .
1 week later car broken into well thhey bent door and as they went to pull the lock alarm must have gone off and they ran off as didnt expect it. again had to fix the door. 2 weeks later happens again!!!!! so had to fix door 3rd time in 5 weeks. overall in 5 weeks i spent jus over 1k on fixing it new sub cd player and alarm!!!! cops told me to sell it as its been targeted.
so sold it and got my self a lovely 172 hehe. not had any probs as of yet touch wood. its great cause the dash board of the clio has 3 different red led's flashing all time and is harder to get in them unlike old corsas.

Stupid thing is that they broke most of the gear while nicking it. That and they took all the speakers and the amp but left the headunit and my ipod which was tucked away in the glovebox.

as said. the first thing you should do if you don't have a factory alarm fitted is get one.
people are going to know you have a nice lot of audio equipment in your car if you go up and down the streets with music blaring out. maybe this is how they know?

Gutted for you mate. Same thing happened to a friend of mine, had his Sub & Amp taken, unfortunately for the thiefs the Sub was blown and the amp had been dropped  So he got brand new ones through insurance

when they stole my stuff they ripped the connections off leaving them in my car so the sub was no use to them and they only took the detachable bit of cd player so no use to them. they didnt take my 120 cds in the car lol .
They broke my wing mirror my interior light and indicator in the process.

hGutted mate. My friend had his motor broken into, sub and amp in the boot... which they left!! took his cds and the facia to his headunit, but they were unable to get the full headunit out! amateurs haha!! Unlucky for them, he's a heavyweight pro-kickboxer and they were on a spree round the area. My mate hung around on the street a couple of nights and... say no more... haha
