My mate just bought one on Friday so he let me have a go in it last night. Really liked it! I was properly impressed with how it handled! Also was faster than I expected. Driven a 106 GTi in the past but this felt much quicker and sounded nicer aswell. Looked the part in Racing Blue.

Being the Cup though it had a bit of a naff interior and couldn't find a nice driving position but thats prob cos I wasn't used to the car. I do like it alot though. Definately changed my opinion on sporty Clio's as I expected it to be rattly and uncomfortable

Another Clio related thing I spotted that White 172 in York Park & Ride last week but it still doesn't look right to me even in the metal!

Yeah seats were no better than a lesser model. Big let down! Just had a look at the Trophy ones and the seats are much better in those. Proper recaro affairs

Yeah real nice. Would love one myself now, but I dont think its what I'm looking for if I'm being realistic. Dont think it'd be economical enough and dont know what it'd be like cruising on a dual carriageway to work and back everday Boring stuff like that I'm interested in

I was looking at prices on 172s, 182s etc the other day. Seems they're becoming more affordable now.

172 on around a 99/00 plate, loads around £3k. Not a bad car for the money. 182s are still holding their money though.

my dads mate works for renault, which means i get a little ride every now and again.bin in a 172, 182 trophy and the new 197.the 197 was fast (obviously) but the 182 was by FAR the best and most fun car.so quick and responsive.
