i dont think so mate, i have a feeling i moved mine back a bit though where they mount at the bottom.

i moved them down to the second screw by the suspention coz they were to stiff but there ok now, they just bend abit.

fro an i both have them the other way up on our cars an they work fine so i guess it doesnt matter

Mine were like that. Are they new lifters you have ? They are very stiff when new which is probably why they are bending

yup, pics in my garage of them, but i also read a while ago on puntosports that they can be put on either way, tbh i dont know what the difference is, but they arnt causing any problems, so ill leave them be

i heard by one person they have to be the same as say your boot would be due to lubrication or something inside could be a load of shite though lol

I would imagine they are the wrong way up, because any lube in the piston will be at the bottom near your wing.

I could be wrong and don't have bonnet lifters

i have bonnet lifters on my astra and they had to be fitted the other way up same as boot struts

I looked at a few pics of mint cars from Trax yesterday and noticed on a couple of them that they were the opposite way up if they have a shiney car as clean as they are then ill stick to what they are doing
