i bought a 1998 corsa sport 1.6 about 6 months ago. it had little damage on it but nufin major. i have fixed all the damge properly and nufin cropped up that i didnt expect. i decided to do a hpi check and it come up with it having CAT D damage and write off because of it. i paid 1200.... wot do people think..... did i get done or wot? is CAT D damage bad? cheers

if it was wrote off then some one must of brought it back off the insurance company and sold it on to you.
it just means when you come to sell it you wont get much for it due to the cat d

I wouldnt class Cat D Damage as a write off in all cirumstances, hardly any to be honest.
£1200 for a 98 1.6 aint bad either so I wouldn't say you got done over to be honest if you knew what the damage was and you've rectified it.
