first thing, my mates LET failed its mot emissions the other day as it is running very rich due to not being properly mapped yet. this means he has to wait for the tuning company to get the software to do a vauxhall or something (they can do a skyline but not a vaux :S) but was wondering if there are any sensors or leads we can pull out just to get it thourgh mot so it can be taxed at the end of this month.

second thing. how much is a LET engine worth by itself?

thankyou xx

if its std, then something is wrong for it to be running rich it shouldnt need mapped at all. as an L reg it will need a cat anyway, does it have one?

tuners? explain. if theyre tuners, and its on std ecu std engine etc, and theyre saying it needs mapped to bring fuelling into spec, well, no, as it should run in spec anyway.

if it is overfuelling, first stop would be a coolant temp sensor imo
