First of all i am aware this is in off day so i am prepaired to be taunted

Im on a diet, well no, ive changed my habits and exercise more so im loosing weight. I go on holiday on Sept 2nd and i'd really like to loose 7lbs before i go - purely because this means i will hit my 4st weight loss target...

Any ideas? Ive searched on the net and can only find crap like pay £20 and we will send you an eating plan and yada yada

Im on earlies next week so i finish at 4, planning on going to the gym every day (or as often as possible)

Last couple of weeks i feel like my body has hit a wall (weight loss wise ) and im struggling to get any more weight off!

PS, before anyone asks, maybe pics when i hit target

are you hitting a weight loss target or inches?

youve maybe slowed down the weight loss as your building muscle to replace the fat your loosing.

there are no sure fire (advisable) ways of taking anything etc to loose weight quickly as youve done most of the easy parts. getting rid of water retention etc.

a couple of lads a have advised in the past have used a diretic to get down to a certain weight, but puts big straign on the body, and is slightly illegal

Its a weight loss target, if i can loose 6lbs (Ive lost 3st 8lbs since April) then that means i've hit my 4 stone target

Good point about the muscle, i started on weights 2 weeks ago so maybe thats why i have hit such a plateu (sp)

Beginning to think i have a problem i had to remove the scales from my office in work because i was weighing myself twice... a day pyscho

First of all you have got to make sure you are eating correctly.

Protein/carbs/fat is all needed for a proper diet to stop your body from burning protein/carbs. You want to be burning the fat.

If its possible plan your meals.

Make sure your carbohydrates come from something fibrous like broccoi.

Oatmeal is a really good source of carbs in the morning, something with no added sugar.

Consume plenty of water.

If you really wanna burn fat in the gym try HIIT(High intensity interval training).

For example on the treadmill, do one minute at 6 speed next minute at 7 speed and next at 8 speed. then back down to 6 and start again.

Its proven to burn more calories.

This are just little tips I am sure someone can explain in a more detailed way as I dont' have much time

I have lost 9lbs recently.

I have been reading these forums for just over a year now and they are really helpful!

agree with james, also think about going for a run/gym/swim in the mornings before breakfast as it's said that you burn up to 35% more calories during that period.

One quick way to loose weight is to cut carbs completly out of your diet and continue the excersise (basically what the atkins diet is) - but you should limit your carb intake to breakfast and lunch, it's not recommended that you have carbs for your dinner.

Also have you thought about CLA (Conjugated linoleic acid) pills? said that they will help to burn fat yet keep muscle - > wiki here <.

Stop eating anythign carb related will make you loose it, or dont eat any carbs after midday, no potatoes pasta etc... for a quick fix in a week or so.

eat nothing but bacon for a week, as much as you want, and run alot, water is 2.2lbs per litre, so sweat/spit/piss 3 litres?

TBH if you were really dedicated to loosing weight you just wouldn't eat. If you do eat, be sick. Easy as pie

no carbs or very little.

hit the excersize bike two times a day for 40 mins each time, once when you get up and once lateish on the evening.

have 2 protein shakes through the day and a light dinner around 6 ish, consisting of protein and a few carbs and healthy fats.

i.e chicken salad, no dressing with some type of nuts and a bit of vedge.

thats all just takes commitment.

ow and drink enormous ammounts of water and take a multi vit aswell.

have a big shit just before the final weigh in and stand on the scales naked.

Measuring everything on 'weight' is a bit silly...

You could lose 7 lb's of weight and it be water and glucose deposits, with no fat loss at all.

i get fed up typing the same stuff in every gym thread that gets started each week

P.S There is no quick way to lose weight, and if you do it via a ketogenic/lowcarb diet then you'll put it all back on once you eat properly again.

from what i've been reading (few forums and tutorials), introducing the carbs slowly into your diet once you've reached your target weight and increasing the amount of excersise will keep it off.

I've known people to loose 7-10lbs in a week, they mainly eat the three main meals a day along with fruit for a snack.

My mum went on the weightwatchers diet and managed to loose 7lbs every week for about 3 weeks.

She ate fruit, cereal and a yogurt for breakfast.

Salad with some meat, yogurt and fruit for dinner.

And tea consisted of 2 chicken breasts with like a jacket potatoe and vegatables.

Small snacks like the weightwatchers bars will give you the fat needed aswell as filing you up.

Go swimming 5 times a week for an hour...
