Im struggling to fit my strut brace to my 1.2 16v corsa b.

The strut isnt for a 1.2 16v, but it is off other 16v corsas.

So far as ive read, is that you have to alter it in some way? But ive not been able to find any answers to this, or any help otehrwise.

So, anyone who has fitted one to a 1.2 - surely there must be atleast one person - any ideas?

The main problem is that it keeps fouling the air box at the top.
Here -

Any ideas please ?

Thanks Really want this fitted now.

I tried fitting it the opposite way, but the bar tends to bend out at one end, fitting it the 'opposite way' meant that it bentout over the engine.

Fitting it the way i am means it bends away from the engine slightly.

This is the way i fitting it to the car, you can see the bend towards the left side of it.

Managed to get it to just miss the air box at the top.
Just need to polish up engine and all that get it looking loads better than it is atm

say you have a square box
you cut a corner out, turn it round and glue it back in, its then recessed

personly id go with the astra eco pipe route, that way its flexible

looks good..

like adam said it may still hit, if i was you, i'd whip the box off, and chop the back off and fibreglass it back up to give more clearance
