whats peoples opinions on best 18" tyres for a sensible price, ive currently got continentals 225/45/18,but they only lasted 25k and are very bald now lol,so im after something with a less soft compound but still good grip both wet and dry.
thanks

michlin pilot exalto's or conty sport contact 2's, to be honest 25k is decent milage, those two tyres are going ot be the best for grip and milage!
anything made by toyo etc will last about 20mins...........

25000 miles is quite a lot for a set of tyres, you won't do much better than that TBH.

25k is quite a lot. My PremiumContacts on the rear of the 306 did about 35/40k and still had about 3mm tread left when they got replaced (one got a nail in the side, and my spare was illegal so the good rear went on the spare and had the other 2 replaced).

25k is excellent, my front tyres typically last me about 3k!

Never had a car long enough to know how quickly I go through tyres. I'd imagine a fair bit less than 25k, seems like a decent return to me.
