I'd never personally pay over £1k for insurance, so in my eyes thats far to expensive.
19 I was paying about £650 fully comp with all mods declared.
20 went down to about £500
21 went down to £400 then in went an XE
Shop around, my girlfriend is paying about £600 on a brand new corsa D SXi she's 20 with 0 NCB as been on her parents policy from 17.

Where the hell do people find such cheap insurance ffs. My renewal on a 1.2 8v is 900quid with 1yr NCB.
And i've shopped around and that seams about right across the market.
