Part of my uni project was to re-score a section of film, so i chose the introduction to 36 Quai des Orfèvres (brilliant film btw).
> View Rescore < - Everything you hear was composed by me
p.s - there is a clitch half way through and the sound quality was lowed thanks to youtube, but you get the idea.

Pretty good stuff this mate. What equipment was used? Was it all software or did you use a combo or software & hardware?
Around the 3min mark IMO I think a breakbeat should of been adding to it to give it that little bit more of suspense. Every heard that tune Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death? Sounds like that in parts, i think it would work well

all software based - East West Symphonic Orchestra (Main strings), Edirol Orchestral (chellos, percussion), Steinberg The Grand 2 (Piano), Spectrasonics Atmosphere (Choir). And programmed via midi in Nuendo using a edirol controller. The audio was then bounced down for mastering/mixing in Protools.
Yea, i ended up playing around with this for a while and tried to get a drum rhythm/beat into it but nothing really fitted, even Rob Dougan style breabeats. Plus i thought it would sound too similar to the orginal track (which is has an electro/glitch breakbeat).
I might redo a few section, particularly as i've just acquired the East West Symphonic Choirs which are a lot lot better than Atmosphere's.
But cheers for the listen
