My 1400 sport has just touched 107k and it is startin to smoke. Not all the time though. The smoke is black and a mate of mine said it could be overfuelin. I serviced it with oil, plugs, leads and filters about 1k miles ago. It also seems to be usin a lot of fuel so i am guessin my mate could be right. Any suggestions as to what i can do about it. Also the car is not using any oil or water. I check it regularly and its always fine.

black smoke is a sign of overfuelling. could be 1 of 100 reasons why, a good start would be a new coolant temp sensor and new lambda sensor. 9/10 times it solves the problem.
