My mate had a 1.5TD Nova. Same thing really.

Was a good car. Cost next to nothing to run and never ever broke down. He turned up his diesel pump/boost or whatever it is and it did go better. Smoked like a lorry full of rastas though.

My mate had a Corsa B 1.5TD and it went well as standard.

Stuck my Bilstein kit on it for a bit and it stuck well too.

Didnt get the chance to tweak it as he stacked it but i reckon with the 'white ring mod' etc its should be a laugh.

I got one too. Far better than the 1.2 8v both on fuel and response. 74K on the clock and all I did is regular oil changes, filters, timing belt and brake pads. Mine is not modded.

Yup, had one to deliver in, bullet proof and good on fuel.

What do you mean Steve, ''unrefined''?

I had one. Wrote it off twice. Didn't get up the 2nd time tho

That had a piperX induction kit and a peco BB2 back box. Fox 15's, Lowered 40mm.

It'd piss 1.2 16v's but anything more than that you hope they backed off before you do

And i had my "Speedo" with 4 people in the car saying 120. More like 110.

Did you mess around with the boost at all? Thinking about getting one as it aint much more on insurance and should be reliable enough to get some additional ncb

obviously people who say they are slow are comparing it to say 20xe corsa's

for something of the age diesel wise they are pretty quick from standard however up the boost and fuelling and you will notice a big difference.

there is a big difference if you get a good one over one that doesnt boost so well

how the f**k did u get 120mph out of it? I struggled to get 105mph out of mine down hill....
otherwise... rather nippy, cheap to run - insurance group 5-6, reliable as f00k - wouldn't turn down another.

He probably turned the boost up. Iv only managed 96 in my corsa according to satnav. Considering ether a 1.5td or a 1.6 sport.
