Do you notice any difference filling with 97ron/99ron fuel compared to 95?
Apart from the extra cost,lol.

I had to run my X16XE on Super as it was mapped for it and pinked like crazy on 95RON
When it was an X14XE pre-ECU change, it ran on either, with no difference, except in the price.

Usually i just use on old shite 95ron i can find, supermarket mainly
Been using 97 super recently, cant really say ive seen a difference.
Shell v-power is only anygood if you fill up with it when its freshly delivered, as the boosters in it starting going "off" within a week or two. As its just 95ron fuel, boosted to 97/98.

I don't think there's anywhere around here where you can still get 95ron

basically anyone who runs a 1.6 on V power is a mug as the difference it makes in fuel consumption and performace is negligiable. If you own a Jap import then I see the point.

It depends what the x/c14/16xe ecu's are mapped to tho.
If it has a ign map for 97ron, and it advances to 97ron you should see a slight power difference.

I only use shell fuel!. Main standard shell but now and again bit of V power to give it a clean out, not for speed!
Went throught a stage where all i ran it on was v power!
