...did you keep the coolant pipes connected to the throttle body? i routed them round so it was all connected up as normal, but since mine sprung a leak i've bypassed it now.

Just wondered what other people did... i figure once the engine is warm it'll only make it lose power by warming the charge?

everyone says the same thing about them - dont connect to throttle body, just connect them together

I've connected them together. I was on the phone to Dave A and he said to connect them together coz it rubs on the bulk head and leaks.

Yeah thas what i was wondering.... since bypassing it the whole inlet side stays cold where it used to warm up a little.

Heading to a RR this sunday and want it at its best

I was told that because Vauxhall don't know where their cars are going they prepare for the worse. It's to stop the TB freezing for those cooler areas of the globe.

Its never going to get cold enough in this country to need the tb heated.
Its for places where night temperatures can get to like -40c or something crazy like that
