Right ive got a nova gte 1.6 8v mpi engine box loom and ecu.is this a straight swap for my 1.4 8v spi or will i need a few bits

Engine will change round very easy, but you need to change the fuel pump and line ends to MPI spec.

Then its just the loom to sort, all the other bits like shafts etc should be the same as the 1.4

Will i need a throttle cable from a mpi corsa? What fuel pump can i use?

Mpi fuel pump
Just swap it out the tank.

Yes you'll need a different throttle cable.

And also the engine has been in dry storage for 6 years is it worth doing a oil change

Im doing the same 1.4 sri to 1.6gsi, 1.6 engine has been stood for a year the guy tells me so I went out and got oil filer and some decent castrol gtx high mileage for it

Hopes your goes to plan, mines a little easyer as my system is all ready sorted with the Mpi system

Yea it turns by hand i was gona renew all gaskets and do timing belt water pump what else should i do

plugs, leads, oil filter, air filter etc. gaskets. t/belt water pump alt belt. basically as much as you can.

The actual lines themselves are fine, but the connecting bits at the end of the lines are different on MPI to SPI.

Yours as the nova one wont your exhaust system.
Get the fuel line ends off a mpi car, they have screw on unions.
Need a mpi fuel pump.

Definently change the cambelt and oil before trying run it.

Use the nova one.
If there both cable driven speedos/
