do it online mate if you had the newer style mot it will be registered on the dvla site mate give it a go worth a try

ok, so if i do it online now, amI taxed from now? Or do I have to wait for the disc?

The only was I can think is online but you might need some refference number off the MOT  plus the disc wouldnt arrive for a few days
Don't think theres any other way TBH

would of thought it was on the system fairly quickly to be honest as long as you have a receipt saying you bought it then you have got tax as such

Thats what I thought, should be on the computer system instantly TBH but a few people are saying you're not actually taxed until you are displaying the disc

just do it online, its two seperate offences, one is not having tax, one is failing to display tax. plus they never usually bother unless u are more than two weeks over, just try not to drive car as much

its illegal 2 drive without a vaid taxed disc shown in your front windscreen, but i got pulled without a tax disc and showed them the bit of paper off the internet saying i had bought it for the month so they just let me off with a warning, but some coppers might not be so nice
